Rising sea levels could take economic toll on California beaches: A state-commissioned study by San Francisco State says erosion and storm damage by the advancing ocean over the next century could cut into tourism and tax revenue.

Anyone who thinks the economy should come before the environment needs to think more clearly. An unhealthy earth does directly affect the economy, so if that’s their only argument to oppose or block any eco legislation, or propose or agree with harmful legislation, it’s easily negated by hard facts.
